Zoho founder Sridhar Vembu acts on pledge to take IT development to the villages

April 23, 2022:Zoho founder CEO is making a determined push to take the company’s development centres to India’s rural reaches. Tenkasi in Tamil Nadu was the first location where Zoho set up a  150-seater centre in 2016. Next was a centre in Renigunta, Andhra Pradesh, the town that connects to the temple town of Tirupathi.
Since then many such rural centreds have come up.
A few days ago,  Vembu tweeted pictures  of a small mud-and limestone structure which he said he had made his office. : ”New conference room and small offices, built with mud/straw and limestone cover, upstairs covered by thatched palm leaf. Comfortable even on a hot day. I love it so much I have made it my office” Twitter April 20 .
Earlier  he shared images of a rural Zoho office in Nellai district: "I visited our rural R&D office in Gopalasamudram in Nellai district, about 15 engineers working in a converted shed in a small farm, many of whom working in our@ZohoAnalytics product. We need committed local leadership to make our rural offices work. I want to thank them."  Twitter Mar 11
