Makers of FarmVille, CityVille and Mafia Wars organize their first ever fan meet-up outside the US in Bangalore
The world’s largest social game developer, Zynga, makers of runaway success, Farmville, organized its first fan event outside the United States, in (where else!) Bangalore recently..
The event gave ardent fans an opportunity to engage with the makers of their favorite games and participate in the launch of the ‘Zynga Games India Fan Club’, a platform to explore and engage with Zynga. Over 100 Zynga fans were introduced to the makers of their favourite games and connected with each other as they played along in real time.
Sharing their experience with Zynga games, Nandini and Mahesh Manjunath, neighbours on FarmVille and mother-son in real life, described the "family tradition" that farming has become. "My mother tends to my farm when I am in college," said Mahesh while discussing how the game has become an integral part of their lives.
Software professional Karthikeyan Chellapa shared his experiences playing Mafia Wars from his wife's account and related his initiation into becoming a Café World addict by offering to do up her Cafe.
“The fan celebration events are a testimony of Zynga’s vision to connect the world through games,” said Shan Kadavil, Country Manager, Zynga India. “We are truly delighted with the response and look forward to meeting and learning from many more fans from across the country"
